Job Title: Senior Paralegal

Status: Permanent / full time

Client: Law Firm

Location: West Midlands

Salary: Basic salary of £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience plus benefits

 

Our Client:

 

A modern and forward thinking law firm, looking to expand its Debt Recovery team by recruiting a Senior Paralegal.

 

The Senior Paralegal will be the Principle Fee Earner working within the Debt Recovery team.

 

Debts are predominantly Commercial/Business to Business (B2B).

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Run own caseload from instruction to conclusion, including but not limited to issuing claims, statutory demands, entering judgment and enforcement
  • Maintain own caseload in line with internal and client procedures, processes and SLAs
  • Achieve financial targets and KPIs
  • Recognise any potential issues in cases and refer these appropriately
  • Liaise with other internal teams/functions as appropriate for development and delivery of service
  • Advise clients on legal issues and procedures for debt recovery
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Assist with process improvements and projects
  • Comply with all of the firm’s policies and all regulatory requirements
  • Keep up to date with any legislative changes/updates
  • Assist with producing documented processes and procedures as required
  • Assist with producing management information and commentary as required
  • Attend and complete any training in a timely manner
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required
  • Assisting with other team members caseloads when they are on annual leave

Experience and/or Qualifications:

 

Essential:

  • Proven debt recovery knowledge and experience including county court procedures/rules for debt actions including enforcement procedures
  • Case and/or people supervision
  • Ability to document process and procedures

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Liberate (Linetime)
  • Business development skills
  • Process mapping
